Publications The Information Management Journal is recognized as the leading professional journal of the records and information management industry. The Information Management Journal is filled with articles and information on the latest trends, observations, and case studies that affect the industry, business, government, and other entities that rely on accurate and reliable information resources. Infopro contains information on current key and critical topics in the records and information management area, in addition to activities of ARMA chapters, Industry Specific Groups (ISG)-Sectors, the ARMA Board of Directors, and other Association happenings. This on-line publication from ARMA International is distributed to members by email. ARMA International Washington Policy Brief on-line updates from ARMA International for members on legislative actions involving documents and records. ARMAdilla is the Houston Chapter's newsletter and a primary resource for local workshop, seminar, and event information. This award winning publication is available in a printable version on the ARMA Houston Chapter Web site. ARMA Bookstore, on the ARMA International Web
site, provides concise published information for the records and information
professional. Titles range from the Internet to professional development
to ISO 9000 to the latest automation and imaging technologies. All
publications are available to ARMA members at a discounted price. On-line courses, Web seminars and streaming records
management-related presentations are available to members as discounted prices
on ARMA International Web site. The up-to-date courses provide a resource to
sharpen your skills and advance your career. ARMA Houston has a local job placement service on its
website. ARMA International Web also has a job placement service on their site
for ARMA members, CareerLink lists open international and domestic records and
information management positions and assists members in creating resumes for
posting on the site. Use

http://www.arma.org/careers/index.cfm. ARMA International's Annual Conference ARMA's annual four (4) day conference brings together information managers from all corners of the globe. The latest technology is displayed and the most recent events that affect information are discussed. Information on the current ARMA International Conference and Expo may be found on the ARMA International Web site. Leadership Development There are numerous opportunities to participate in committees
charged with promoting the records and information management profession,
determining programs, editing and writing chapter newsletters, presenting
awards, reaching out to the community and enhancing professional standards at
the local Chapter level and international level. Your opportunity for
development begins with ARMA membership. To join ARMA International, the basic membership is$175 per year.Retired members maintain their ARMA International membership for $25 per year. Belonging to the ARMA Houston Chapter is an additional $50 per year. |
